Report
Formal inspection report actions
Door-by-door findings from an inspection, priced item by item. Inspections are arranged through a specialist external partner.
Sector
For a facilities team, fire door defects may arrive as line items — a report action, a helpdesk ticket or a planned maintenance finding — spread across buildings and budget holders. We price and carry out the repairs, remedials and replacements in a format that fits that workflow: door by door, site by site, with records you can close against.
Facilities teams work in different ways, so we price from whichever source you hold, provided each item identifies the site, the door and the defect.

FRA
Door-related actions, may be less specific, turned into a defined scope once the doors are assessed on site.
Helpdesk
Individual faults reported by occupiers, grouped where sensible so attendance at each site is efficient.
Planned
Where your estate uses planned maintenance checks, defects recorded there can be priced in the same way.
A particularly useful input is a stable reference for each door that matches your asset register or CAFM system, if you use one. Quotations, progress updates and completion records can then all be keyed to that reference, which keeps reconciliation simple across sites.
Commercial sites may have their own access rules: permits, inductions, escorts, out-of-hours windows, or areas only available on certain days. These should be agreed before the work is scheduled, and doors that cannot be reached should be recorded rather than skipped silently. The wider approach is covered in remedial works in occupied buildings.
A fixed quotation suits a defined report. Where volumes are uncertain — reactive tickets across a portfolio, for example — a schedule of rates can be more practical. Our guide to quotations and schedules of rates explains the difference, and fire door costs for commercial premises covers what drives the price. Every quotation states inclusions, exclusions and the VAT basis.
On a multi-site programme, the useful update is not only what was finished but what was not, and why. A useful update records progress by door reference and flags exceptions — no access, a door found to need replacement rather than repair, or an item outside the quoted scope — so they can be decided rather than discovered later.
Where included in the quotation, completion records list each door, the work carried out and any outstanding items, keyed to your references. See records and close-out for what such records can include, and remedial works from an FRA for turning risk-assessment actions into a scope. Where a reinspection is required to close an action formally, it is arranged through the external inspection partner.
If your portfolio is mainly residential blocks with leaseholders and service charges, our page for managing agents and property managers is the better fit. Council and other public sector estates are covered on fire doors for public sector estates.
